This section is here to try and help you understand what your mechanic is talking about when you come in to see us. try to explain as simply as possible WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT.This week,lets talk about your BRAKES. First part is the brake pad. There are different types of pads and it best to use the factory recommended type. Next is the rotor. This is the part that can be seen thru your wheels and its purpose is to have a friction surface for the brake pads to press against. The next part is the brake CALIPER. Its purpose is to apply pressure to the brake pads against the rotors. This is done when you press the brake pedal. Hope this explains how your brakes work.
